1 Samuel 16: 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” How interesting, that we as people judge with our eyes of a person outer appearance but not the heart in a lot of cases. God judges people differently than we do, he looks at the heart. Samuel was looking for a man to anoint to be the next King of Israel and Jesse the Father presented his son's to Samuel, 7 of them to be exact, yet, neither of them were chosen to be King, except for 1, David was the 8th son of Jesse. David was the the least of his fathers household, also he was the forgotten one tending the sheep's. If Jesse didn't judge by the appearance he would of notice that David was the greatest of all his son's with great purpose. Despite that, while David was the least and the forgotten one by his own family for whatever reason God said concerning David through Saul's servant in 1 Samuel 16: 18... "Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.” Better yet, before David was born God has already declare who David will be in Isaiah 11: 1-5 "A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD—
and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist." God used David mightily in the Kingdom of God and effected generations for the Glory of God. The point is, no matter what people, friends, and family thinks of you including yourself whether you feel are the least, unappreciated, and or the forgotten know that "you" are a man or women of purpose to effect a people, a job, a school, a community, a city, a nation, and a generation for the Glory of God. You are not here to live and than die. God has already spoken concerning you and your life despite of your past, its up to you to believe and receive all that God has already given you freely. The bible says in Judges 11: 24 So whatever the Lord our God takes possession of before us, we will possess. If God spoke it, He has already possess it for your life, now activate your faith and possess what God has already given you. Or you might say I dont know what my calling/purpose is. The bible says in 1 Corinthians 2: 9 Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
Know that even if you don't know at this very moment that you have a calling and a purpose. Say to the Lord, I believe You have a calling and a purpose for my life. I receive all that you have for me, here I am, reveal it to me and use me. Work in me and through me to Will and do of Your good pleasures. I thank you and I receive it by faith in Jesus name I pray, Amen. When God reveals it, write it down, and run with the vision. Be bless!
You are destined for greatness! But, you might say, " How? I'm not gifted, I'm not as intelligent like the others, I have a speech problem, I'm too young, People misunderstand me, I have a past." No matter what the case may be, all that means, is that you are a perfect candidate for greatness. God loves the least, that thinks they are not good enough. Why? Because, those are the ones that God will be honored and glorified. Those that think they are good enough, don't need God.
When we look at the Jews we see them as smart, rich, bless, having great connections, and etc. God didn't chose them because they were all that in a bag of chips, but they were the least of all peoples and simply God loved them
Deuteronomy 7: 6-8 For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you....
If that doesn't convince you, then, look at 1 Corinthians 1: 26-29 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him
So you see, the way you view yourself is resulted by your past experience and how the world treated you. Begin to renew your mind from this lie, know you are God's special treasure and that you have a purpose to affect the generations
Here are few examples, Joseph had a vision, he was the youngest from all of his brothers. They mocked him, rejected him to the point they sold him to slavery, he was falsely accuse of attempting to rape a women, put in jail. What else can go wrong? Everything contradicted the vision God gave him. In due time, a door open, an opportunity to fulfill the vision. Interpreted a dream that Pharaoh had, gained favor with him becoming second in command of Egypt. Saving not only the people of Egypt but also his family from the drought.
Jephthah, he was a son of a harlot, rejected by his family, kick out of his home receiving no inheritance yet before he was born God called him a great man of valor. When the Israelites was about to go to war with the Ammorites they couldn't do it without Jephthah. They made Jephthah the head of Israel and he won the victory over the Ammorites.
There are so many other stories, you can be the next great deliverer for your family, for a nation, for a generation. You are needed and destined for greatness in the Kingdom of God.
I end it with this Judges 11: 24 Will you not possess whatever Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whatever the LORD our God takes possession of before us, we will possess.
It is time to take possession of what God has already spoken concerning your life. Begin to believe and declare the vision God has given you. If you have a vision and a word from God concerning your life, God has already gone before you and took possession of it, it is yours to possess. God has already won the victory, conquer the world, restore authority/power/ and dominion for you. He has already given it to you, begin to posses it for you are destined to reign in life, and seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

I would first like to start off by thanking you for taking this time to read what I have written. I hope it's something that will edify, challenge, and impact your life. That you would draw closer to God and become the Man or Woman He desires for you to be. To not only impact other peoples lives in the "now", while you are here, but also to affect generations to come by the legacy that you will leave behind. You are destined for greatness!
I found it very interesting, while reading the Old Testament, in the book of Judges, that almost every time a great leader died, Gods people, the Israelite s, turned away from God to worship and serve idols. When this happened, God handed them over to their enemies to become captives. Eventually, the Israelites acknowledged their sin, and in distress, turned back to God, pleading for Him to deliver them.
The reason why it seems that this happens often is because the leader fails to leave a legacy behind. Focusing only on the "now" instead of the FUTURE, which is the problem in our society today. There are only a few leaders that left a legacy and made a huge impact that I can think of that affected generations, such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Paul.
Now Joshua, after Moses imparted into him, he didn't impart or leave a legacy to anyone. As well as Othniel, Ehud, Deborah, Gideon, Abimelech, Tolar, and Jair. After each one of these men died, the people turned away from God.
But what really caught my attention is that in Judges 10:10-16, when the people cried out to God, acknowledging their sin so that He can deliver them from captivity, God reminded His people of all the things He had delivered them from and then goes on to say, " You go cry out to your idols in which you have chosen, let them deliver you. For I will no longer do so." Even after saying this, in verse 16 it says, "and His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel."
His love is so amazing and great, beyond what we can ever imagine. Even at that time, under the Law, when God was angry with them, He could no longer endure their misery and delivered them because of His love. It goes to show you that nothing can separate us from His love and that He desire His people to live a bless and prosperous life. Thank God He promised never to be angry with us because we would be in a whole bunch of trouble! Lol! Think about it, you know that saying, "Where would I be if it wasn't for my God?" Where would you be? We can make a long list of possibilities where we would have ended up. But thank God for His grace and love, that He saved and delivered us from the law and the slavery of this world.
I challenge you to meditate on the love and goodness that He has shown in your life. Knowing that we didn't deserve it, let that compel you to run with the vision, pursuing God in becoming a Minister of Reconciliation and of Power. Don't only be concerned with the "now", but impart into someone's life and leave a legacy that will impact your children and your children's children, family, friends, and future generations to come that have been established through our Lord Jesus Christ, according to His plan and purpose for your life. For you have been called for greatness that will affect generations to come and for people to remember!
John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father." He has proven it through His disciples in the day of the Pentecost and through the Apostle Paul, that even to this day, people are being impacted of the works and message they left behind that's inspired by God and He can do it with you also but do you believe?
